Goldie Hawn reveals NSFW secret about her relationship with Kurt Russell

Goldie Hawn says that relationships are not about exaggeration.

Actually, after over 40 years of relationship Kurt Russellclaims that building a successful, long-term relationship involves one key element.

“You have to have good sex,” she exclusively said ME! News On September 27, at the Love-In gala to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Goldie Hawn Foundation and MindUP. “Because sex is something that brings you together and creates more belonging. People who have healthy sexual relationships tend to last much longer. But it’s not just because of the act, but because of the warmth and intimacy it creates.”

But the truth is, being with someone for so many decades is no small feat, and Goldie – who shares a son Wyatt Russell with Kurt and the kids KateHudson AND Oliver Hudson from his second marriage – also detailed the importance of remembering that ultimately there are still two separate people in a relationship.

“You know you’re not the same person,” he says First Wife Club explained the star. “Often you don’t think the same way. And you have to accept that, but you have to measure, are we having fun or is this something we want to do? Do we laugh together? Do we share certain things? You don’t have to share everything.”

She continued: “I think we have high expectations of relationships, but you have to like the person. This is very important.”

And since a relationship actually involves two people, Kurt also had important insight into what makes them click.

“I think most people who have been together for a long time have one thing in common,” he added ME!. “And that means that after so many years together, you will have experienced almost everything that you can experience together and you will have understood all the ups and downs and what they mean.”

The 73-year-old added: “I just love the fact that we met and still do. We still like being together.”

And they still enjoy being together without feeling the need to get married after almost 50 years of living together. This is a fact that Goldie, who was married twice before her relationship with Kurt, firmly believes.

“It’s always ugly,” the 78-year-old told CNN last year about the divorce Chris Wallace. “How many divorces are funny? How many divorces don’t actually cost money? How many divorces make you hate the person more than before? How many divorces harm children?”

Instead, she prefers to wake up with Kurt and “make decisions” every day to continue their partnership.

“Relationships are hard,” she noted. “They’re not always easy. We overcome various types of obstacles. There are things we believe in, things we don’t believe in, and things we agree on.”

Goldie added: “At the end of the day, it’s important to maintain your independence and independent thinking so that you can hold on and actually have that feeling.”
