The weather has started to cool down, and after hibernation, jackets and sweaters are starting to appear in dark closets, but after long days of summer sun, the question arises: what will I wear next?

Residents of the Central Ohio Valley have choices on both sides of the river to find the perfect fall look.

The Peyton and Peppy boutique has been located in a gray and blue building on Grand Central Avenue in Vienna for eight years and offers a wide range of autumn fashion.

“People are really excited about our fall.” said Peyton and Peppa’s manager, Amy Snodgrass. “I feel like this is one of our best times at Peyton and Peppy because everyone is so excited about the fall.”

According to Snodgrass, the boutique is currently seeing many variations of green in fall fashion.

“I mean everything from olive to emerald to sage, I mean everything is included.” she said. “The Greens are really big now.”

Peyton and Peppy also like to mix shades of mocha, brown and burgundy for fall, Snodgrass said.

“I think we are seeing a lot more purples and pinks this year…. “That was a change for us, adding those bright colors.” she said.

According to Snodgrass, at the start of the fall season, Peyton and Peppa’s customers bought a lot of light flannels and blouses in a variety of colors, and you’ll see a lot of light layers in the store, like a plaid shirt over jeans. dresses or soft trousers.

Customers are also buying fitted two-piece outfits with a sweater texture, which wasn’t done last fall, Snodgrass said.

In her opinion, now that autumn is in full swing, customers are also buying dresses, thicker jackets, sweatshirts with prints and hats.

The store also sells “Now it’s a lot of flowing patterned pants… it’s a lot of light layers.” she said.

According to Snodgrass, Peyton and Peppy wear many dresses for different occasions.

“We’re seeing a lot of really pretty dresses in fall colors and then fall patterns.” she said.

According to Snodgrass, hats are great for accessories, especially graphic baseball caps.

“I still think they will be very fashionable for fall.” she said, adding that they can be paired with dresses, sweaters and more.

“You can add them to any outfit.” she said.

With all these options for everyone, how does anyone know how to put together an outfit?

When she dresses, Snodgrass said, she combines fall and summer and likes light, layered styles. She said she wears a dress and sneakers and adds a light layer such as a blazer or flannel.

“I like to think of all the tricks and tricks of style, color, pattern, texture, to mix it all together and get a very eclectic look.”

She suggested layering something like a soft sweater and a thicker knit jacket.

“Then you have a very luxurious look for fall.” Snodgrass said.
