The Blue Jackets are celebrating the birthday of Johnny Gaudreau’s 2-year-old daughter

Columbus Blue Jackets players and their families celebrated the birthday of 2-year-old Noa Gaudreau, daughter of the late Johnny Gaudreau, at a party on Sunday, according to social media posts.

Players and family gathered for an expansive barnyard-animal-inspired party held at an undisclosed house, complete with a milk and cookie bar, a children’s banquet table and a two-tier cake for the birthday girl, whose birthday officially falls on Monday.

Meredith Gaudreau, Noa’s mother and Johnny Gaudreau’s wife, posted photos and videos from the celebration on her Instagram Story early Monday morning.

Odette Peters, the fiancĂ©e of Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski, posted a photo showing a dozen Blue Jackets players and their families posing behind a large sign: “Happy 2nd birthday Noa!”

Noa’s birthday is just over a month since her father was struck and killed by an alleged drunk driver while riding his bike with his brother Matthew Gaudreau in Oldmans Township, New Jersey on August 29. Matthew Gaudreau also died in the accident.

The incident occurred when the Gaudreau brothers traveled to New Jersey to attend their sister’s wedding.

During the memorial service held after the accident, Meredith Gaudreau announced that she was pregnant with the couple’s third child.
