While we have seen a lot of changes in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain, viewers can now get ready to watch another leap, albeit a small one. Being one of the longest-running shows on Indian television, the Star Plus show currently portrays the love story of Abhira played by Samridhii Shukla and Armaan played by Rohit Purohit. Their interesting story has a twist in the form of the obsessive Ruhi, played by Garvita Sadhwani, who has a love-hate relationship with Abhira.

Amid the curiosity surrounding this leap, Samridhia Shukla has admitted in reports that it is indeed happening and it will be a short three-month leap that will focus on the aftermath of Abhira and Armaan’s marriage. Moreover, piquing the minds of the public, she also posted a major update on her bond with Ruhi, stating that the makers of the Star Plus show have some interesting plans to develop the relationship between them post the leap. “Yes, the news about the three-month skip is completely true. Some big changes are coming. We’ve already started filming a lot of these scenes after this jump. One good thing to look forward to is that the relationship between Ruhi and Abhira will improve,” she told Times Now.

Currently, the show’s track focuses on the dilemma that Armaan faces after his adopted mother Vidya curses him for his decision to marry Abhira on the day of their griha pravesh. Although she played a key role in convincing everyone to marry, her mind changes when it is revealed that Abhira cannot have a child. After the three-month timeskip, Armaan will ignore Abhira as he is tormented by guilt and anxiety over the curse, causing the latter to sink into a deeper depression. Meanwhile, Ruhi decides to continue her marriage with Rohit (played by Romit Raaj) and will be pregnant with their first child.
