Famous Kenyan singer Stivo Simple Boy is gaining popularity again but this time for less favorable reasons.

A young woman named Mally Malkia demanded payment from the artist for her role in an advertising campaign in 2022.

Why did Stivo Simple Boy and Mally Malkia pull off a dating stunt?

Malkia claims that she and Stivo faked a romantic relationship to help promote a song he was working on at the time.

They were spotted in Diani displaying their affection for each other in public, leading many Kenyans to believe that they were actually dating.

However, the “affair” was short-lived and Malkia now claims she was underpaid for her efforts.

In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.keMalkia revealed that she was approached by Stivo’s former management with the idea and expected to be paid handsomely for her involvement.

Much to her disappointment, she was only offered KSh5,000.

“I was only paid KSh5,000. I expected a good salary, around KSh 80,000, as I had done a lot, from pretending to be his girlfriend to going out with him and taking part in photo shoots. People who reached out to me later ignored me, and my efforts to reach them proved futile. Now I want to appeal to Stivo to pay me because I worked for him,” Malkia said TUKO.co.ke.

Stivo Simple Boy’s advice to Mally Malkia

TUKO.co.ke asked Stivo Simple Boy for an answer, and the singer distanced himself from the issue, blaming it on his former manager (Men In Business).

“I can advise Malkia to look for my previous manager. These were the people responsible for the project. I was just an assignee at the record company. I can’t help her,” Stivo said.

Stivo gave his mother a warm hug as she waited patiently for him on the side of the road.

By inviting his mother to go shopping, he expressed a caring and selfless gesture.
