Hollyoaks reveals Tony’s new love interest in streaming release

Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Tuesday’s episode (October 1), which is available to watch now on streaming service Channel 4 and hasn’t yet aired on TV.

Hollyoaks has revealed the identity of Tony Hutchinson’s new love interest, in the show’s latest episode.

Tony and Diane’s marriage troubles started before the show’s time jump, and in recent weeks their relationship has been on the rocks.

In yesterday’s episode, Tony arranged to meet up with Maxine and it seemed like they might have been having an affair, but really she was sorting out the couple’s divorce.

They officially signed the papers, but Ro later spotted the documents and was shocked to find out that his parents had split up.

In today’s episode, Tony was seen taking off his wedding ring, a sign that his marriage is truly over.

Ro was still upset that he had been kept in the dark about the divorce, but Diane reassured her son that they would still be united as a family.

But Tony then received a text from a contact called “M”, who was excited about their first date later that day.

Diane and Marie went for a run together and had a much-needed laugh, and Nancy ended up finding out about Diane’s divorce.

While armed with flowers, Tony ran into Maxine, but it was quickly confirmed that the flowers weren’t for her, and they weren’t seeing each other.

After a run in with another “M” – Mercedes – Tony approached Marie, and it was revealed that she is his mystery admirer.

As Diane told Nancy that Marie has been a rock to her during her relationship trouble, Tony cooked a meal for Diane on their first official date.

It was explained that they have been seeing each other for a while now, and Marie was keen to come clean to Diane – after waiting until their divorce had gone through.

The new couple confessed they were falling for each other and outside, they shared a passionate kiss. But Ro witnessed the intimate moment…

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
