Bombay: Indian Minorities Foundation organized a fashion show curated by Manish Malhotra that featured Bollywood stars Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri, Sonali Bendre and Hina Khan.

The event titled ‘Namo Bharat: March for Courage, March for Service and March for Heritage’ was organized on Tuesday as part of Seva Pakhwada, which is celebrated from September 17 (Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday) to October 2 (Gandhi’s Mahatma birth anniversary).

The fashion show paid tribute to Prime Minister Modi’s vision of ‘Seva, Sahas and Sanskriti’ (Service, Courage and Legacy).

Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre and director Tahira Kashyap – both cancer survivors – and Hina Khan, who is undergoing cancer treatment, were joined on the ramp walk at the event by survivors of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, including Divya Salaskar and Devika Rotawan. ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ stars Kartik Aryan and Triptii Dimri also joined them on the ramp.

I’m talking to IANS after the event, Kartik Aryan said, “It was a huge honor to walk with cancer and 26/11 survivors. “Iss liye maine kaha ki inke saath walk karke mera seeda 56 inch ka ho gaya hai”…I feel great when the topics of development and heritage are discussed today.”

Actress Triptii Dimri said, “Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi is ensuring that the country continues to develop while remaining rooted in its culture….”

Divya, daughter of Vijay Salaskar, a police inspector who was killed in action during the 26/11 attack, said, “Seva, Sahas and Sanskriti embody everything that our Prime Minister Narendra Modi envisions for India. I truly believe that by helping each other and being strong not only in the face of the enemy but as a country, we will reach a level that India has never reached before… I really believe in his (Prime Minister Modi’s) vision.
