Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg are “ridiculed” for renewing their wedding vows every year, but it allows the couple to “rebuild” their marriage.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, McCarthy, who is a judge on FOX’s “The Masked Singer,” said it was her husband who brought a special tradition to their marriage.

“The first year I decided to do it as a surprise and I thought it would be fun and good and something she wouldn’t expect,” Wahlberg said. “When we did it, it was so powerful and emotional for us that after that I decided we should do it every year. The thing is, I didn’t always tell her about it, so I spent nine years surprising her.”

However, for the couple’s 10th wedding anniversary in August, they were both committed to it.

“We did it at our wedding venue. We renewed our wedding vows with our pastor,” McCarthy said.

“In the same room, in the same place,” Wahlberg interjected.

“It really is like a reboot. As if we turned off the phone to restart it. We are updating our phone. For me, our renewals feel like an upgrade every time.”

“I think now that we’ve done it, it’s incredibly important because people like to make fun of us for doing it,” McCarthy said. “Because how often, after a long time of marriage, do you actually stop, look into each other’s eyes, listen to the commitment and repeat these words.”

“It really is like a reboot. It’s like turning off your phone to restart it. We are updating our phone. For me, every time we do this, our renewals feel like updates,” she continued.

“To be able to do it again with what we know now and 10 years behind us and just be in a space of honesty and vulnerability with each other is a really big thing,” Wahlberg noted. “It’s funny. Yes, people have different opinions about vow renewal. I would say for us it’s a magical thing and it’s great to do it. If it’s not for everyone, it’s not for everyone, but I would do it. I recommend trying it to everyone.”

Although the Wahlbergs just celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in August, rumors of divorce have recently appeared about the happy couple.

During a joint interview with Fox News Digital, McCarthy explained that it was close friends and family who brought the divorce rumors to her attention.

“Recently there was a rumor going around that we were getting divorced, and relatives and good friends were texting me like, ‘Please tell me this isn’t true.’ And I said, “What?” McCarthy began. “Then it got really hot, you know, my God. I said, ‘Donnie, should we take care of this?’ And he said, “No, we’re solid and we love each other very much, and rumors are rumors.”

“People just need to look at us and know that it will never happen. It’s as if death separated us completely in this marriage. “I always tell him, ‘I’m going to make you sign a contract for a billion years because I love you so much, so after this life, you won me a billion times more, buddy,'” she continued.

Last week, McCarthy revealed to People magazine that her wedding dress was ruined on her wedding day because she and Wahlberg “were busy” in the garden after exchanging vows.

Before the couple celebrated with a party, her dress was covered in grass stains.

“There was no rescue,” McCarthy told the outlet. “And I know it was TMI, but you know what? I don’t care. It was romantic and wonderful and at least I didn’t have to do it at the end of the night when I was tired.”

10 years later, McCarthy takes issue with the fact that she couldn’t wear her wedding dress during the vow renewal ceremony because of the “story behind it.”

“Many married couples are too tired to consummate their marriage later, but we did it during the wedding,” McCarthy told Fox News Digital.

“I’m a very competitive person and I’m so competitive that the judges actually say, you know, it’s not necessarily that serious. I say to myself: ‘Listen, you fools, you will win real prizes, and you won real prizes. This is a chance for me to win something,” she said.

As for the star who shocked her the most on “The Masked Singer,” it was her husband.

“The one celebrity reveal that surprised me the most was Donnie Wahlberg. To this day I can’t believe I didn’t guess my husband and many people come up to us and say, “Did you really know that?” right? I really didn’t know it was him,” McCarthy told Fox News Digital.

“First of all, we are very honest with each other. We never lie. So when he said he was in New York filming Blue Bloods, he was on the set when I FaceTimed him, but on the set next door,” she continued.

“In a tie and suit from the movie Blue Bloods,” Wahlberg added.

“So he really cheated on me. I like watching this reveal because my face is like, ‘Oh, who is that?’ lead to complete shock,” she said. “I feel like my mouth is open and then I literally fall back to the ground because I’m like, ‘I’ll never live this down,’ because all his fans, when he started singing, they all knew it was him… except for him wives.”

Wahlberg appeared on the FOX show dressed as a rooster and performed “Return of the Mack” in season five.

“The Masked Singer” turned out to be a family affair for McCarthy. Her son, Evan Asher, works on the show as a check-in and warm-up. Evan, 22, who she shares with ex Josh Asher, also has a YouTube channel called @Gaming_USA.
