Six moves Annie Walker could copy from Coleen Rooney to make her marriage work – from WAG to an injection of new money

WAG Annie Kilner may want to take a leaf out of Coleen Rooney’s book to get her troubled marriage back on track.

Annie, a 32-year-old mother of four who asked her footballer husband Kyle for £15million to save her marriage, reportedly asked the wives and girlfriends of four other footballers for advice on how to ensure “financial security” back in 2019 .

And who better to turn to now for tips on how to make a marriage work than the queen of WAGs, Coleen, 36, who was there and got a t-shirt with her not-so-perfect partner, Wayne.

The two women share similarities in their lives – like Coleen, Annie started dating Kyle at the age of 16, they are both mothers to four boys, and they both know what it feels like to have their relationship rocked by cheating scandals.

But despite their relationship being marred by claims of infidelity, Coleen has stuck it out with Wayne (38), the father of her boys Kai (14), Klay (11), Kit (8) and Cass ( 6 years old).

Turn into a detective

In 2019, Annie feared Kyle would cheat again, so he fathered two children with lover Lauryn Goodman.

Who better to teach her how to keep an eye on her man than super marriage detective herself, “Wagatha Christie” Coleen.

The phrase was coined in 2019 when Coleen became a detective to find out who was leaking stories about her to the press.

Her infamous reveal, which ended with the words “…that was Rebecca Vardy’s account”, ultimately led to Vardy suing Coleen for defamation, which she lost.

Vardy was then ordered to pay an estimated £1.5 million towards Coleen’s legal costs.

Coleen has since starred in the docuseries Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story on Disney+ and, most importantly, there have been no more false stories about her in the press.

It looks like Coleen’s investigative tactics worked – Annie should take note.

Annie is a model herself and has appeared on The Real Housewives of Cheshire, but if she wants to expand her business and show Kyle that she’s a wife who means business, she could build her own brand like Coleen.

In 2006, the brand-savvy WAG was hired on a two-year, £3m contract to become the face of ASDA George clothing.

Two years later, in 2008, she signed on to design a jewelery range for Argos for a reported £500,000, and then in 2010 became the face of Littlewoods for a rumored £2 million.

Now Coleen is the new brand ambassador for Applied Nutrition, a sports and active nutrition brand.

Pay cash for a luxury vacation

Holiday Queen Col loves to go on holiday and has reportedly taken 72 luxury holidays so far in 2018, worn 107 bikinis and earned £1.8 million on holiday.

According to her photos on Instagram, she flew to Dubai in January and to Marbella in August.

If Annie can get her hands on Kyle’s £15 million – half of his estimated fortune – to repair their relationship, she could get something out of Coleen’s very extensive holiday book.

They say a break can be as good as a rest, and Annie may have more than her pick of high-end destinations – though whether she decides to take Kyle with her is anyone’s guess.

Outings with the girls

A strong woman has friends who support her, and Coleen loves the girl gang.

She loves girls’ nights out and regularly attends the Aintree Festival, often visiting on all three days where she snaps and has fun with her friends.

Writing can seem like free therapy, and Annie can be like Coleen and pour her heart out on paper.

Coleen’s latest book – My Account: An Official Autobiography – was published in November last year.

Billed as “the inside story of her legal battle with Rebecca Vardy”, it also gives readers a “full account” of Coleen’s life so far, including the ups and downs she has faced with husband Wayne.

Anna is no stranger to the gym and was even pictured returning to it just two months after welcoming her youngest son, Rezon, in June this year.
