Wendy Williams’ ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, demands an annulment of the divorce – he claims that as part of the settlement she “hid MILLION from him”

Wendy Williams’ ex-husband Kevin Hunter has requested that their divorce be “set aside,” claiming that she “fraudulently hid $48 million in the settlement.”

The 60-year-old TV personality, who recently broke her silence on the Diddy sex trafficking investigation, became involved with Hunter in 1999 until their divorce was finalized in January 2020.

Kevin’s court application was filed after Wendy’s guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, demanded Hunter repay $112,000. dollars in child support overpayments earlier this year, in April.

In court documents obtained by The US Sun on Wednesday, the producer asked the court to “vacate and set aside” their divorce “based on fraud, misrepresentation and misconduct.”

Williams filed for divorce from Hunter in 2019, citing “irreconcilable differences,” and her guardian at the time produced a Wells Fargo wallet claiming her “total net worth” was approximately $7.3 million.

However, a close friend of the star, Regina Schell, made a statement in which she claimed that Williams had $55 million in her account as of 2022.

Kevin’s affidavit states that Wendy “fraudulently concealed” an additional $48 million resulting from their divorce.

However, in response to Hunter’s request for an annulment of the divorce, Wendy’s guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, claimed that Kevin was aware of all of the star’s relationships.

“I cannot comment on what (Regina) believes she saw or heard, what I believe a third party heard, or what that third party may or may not have reported to (Regina),” Morrissey told The US Sun.

“In his documents, (Kevin) confirms that (Wendy) showed (Regina) her financial statements.”

Sabrina continued, “(Kevin) was not there and has no personal knowledge of whether or not this interaction occurred.”

She also claimed that during the former couple’s divorce proceedings, Hunter was “fully satisfied and understood the process and consulted with professionals to be fully aware of the estate and his rights in relation to it.”

Morrissey then added that Wendy’s ex-husband “has absolutely no grounds to reopen the divorce proceedings.”

According to The US Sun, Regina filed an affidavit over the summer in which she claimed to have seen Wendy’s Wells Fargo bank statements.

The TV personality’s best friend also claimed that she was living with the star in July 2022.

She claimed that during this time, Williams expressed a desire to consider additional financial endeavors for her estate, as well as “specifically a possible change to her current financial institution.”

“She also provided me with documents from Wells Fargo showing a total balance of almost $55 million.”

Later that year, in December, Regina claimed she was invited to a meeting at Bank of America with Wendy.

Then, in the same vehicle, she went to the courthouse with the TV presenter and her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey.

However, Wendy’s publicist soon alleged that he overheard a conversation in which Morrissey stated that “there was no money in Wendy’s accounts.”

Regina filed a statement regarding Williams and Hunter’s divorce proceedings.

Kevin also had doubts about whether Morrissey – a lawyer based in New York – could represent Williams in New Jersey.

According to The US Sun, the judge gave Sabrina 21 days to prove she was authorized to represent Wendy in New Jersey.

In court documents, Hunter said Morrissey representing Williams “is akin to practicing law without a license because she is neither a board-certified attorney nor a New Jersey court-appointed guardian.”

Wendy and Kevin started dating in 1994 and said “I do” in 1999. In August 2000, the couple welcomed their son, 24-year-old Kevin Hunter Jr.

Despite having no previous television experience, Hunter became his wife’s manager and production partner early in their relationship, eventually helping her launch a talk show of which he executive produced.

Williams ultimately filed for divorce after about 20 years of marriage in April 2019, citing “irreconcilable differences,” even though it was widely known that Hunter had been embroiled in various cheating scandals.

Their divorce was finalized in January 2020, just two months before COVID-19 was declared a pandemic.

Earlier this year, in April, Morrissey Wendy’s ex-husband returned him child support that she claimed was overpaid.

According to a lawsuit filed in New Jersey Supreme Court, Morrissey is demanding that her ex, Kevin Hunter, pay back $112,500 in child support that was “overpaid” over a three-month period, People magazine reports.

However, in a separate court response, Hunter demanded that the former daytime talk show host pay him 23 months of arrears in spousal support payments following his divorce.

He maintained that she stopped paying him alimony before she was placed under court conservatorship in May 2022, which oversees her finances and health.

Morrissey argued that Hunter was entitled to severance pay from Williams if her annual income exceeded a certain threshold.

However, due to her absence from hosting The Wendy Williams Show throughout last season, Team Williams claims that Hunter no longer meets the criteria set out in the contract and must therefore refund the overpaid amount he received along with accrued interest.

“I believe this was largely a result of the fact that the payments were placed into her account using the autopay feature,” Morrissey said in the lawsuit.

“Her residual income is very low as of 2021 and is no more than half of her income in February 2020 or October 2021.”

Williams only received two payments after leaving the program: a lump sum of $1,952 in February 2022 and $59 in January 2023, according to the documents.

As part of her divorce agreement with Hunter, he was to receive severance pay, but they were to terminate the agreement if Williams’ annual income “was less than twice her then-annual salary as of February 1, 2020.” – Morrissey lawsuit claims.

In addition to the financial dispute, Morrissey is also seeking to impose a silence order on Hunter that would prevent him from speaking about the Williams case.

In March, a judge appointed Morrissey as her financial guardian after her bank, Wells Fargo, filed a request for a hearing in the New York Supreme Court to determine whether it was necessary because of her health.

She disputed the allegations and accused her former manager and Wells Fargo financial advisor of misconduct.

In 2018, Williams revealed that she suffered from Graves’ disease, causing hyperthyroidism, which she had been diagnosed with almost two decades earlier.

One of the symptoms of her thyroid condition is the thinning of her natural hair, which is the main reason she wore wigs for years.

Her Hunter Foundation announced the launch of an addiction hotline in 2019, which led fans to believe she had returned to sobriety. Shortly thereafter, Williams came clean and admitted that she had been living in a sober house.

In late 2019, Williams revealed that she had been diagnosed with lymphedema, a condition that causes swelling of the ankles.
