Yes. “Law & Order” showrunner Rick Eid told TheWrap in August that Benson would be a “big part” of the series’ main run. “(Benson) already has ties to the defendant in this case,” he said of the murder investigation or the tech CEO. “Mariska’s character felt organic and was an interesting element to the story that added another layer to her character,” he said.
