PC Men’s Basketball Announces 2024-2025 Schedule with Schedule and TV Attributions

PROVIDENCE, RI – The 2024-25 Providence College men’s basketball schedule, along with broadcast times and slots, was announced today (October 2). For the first time in the program’s history, the Brothers will have nationally televised games on CBS, NBC and FOX, all in the same season. It will also be the first-ever broadcast of a Friars game on Peacock and the team’s first appearance on NBC since the 1997-98 season.

The Friars will play 11 non-conference games to open the 2024-25 season. Providence will open the season at Amica Mutual Pavilion against Central Connecticut State on Monday, November 4 at 7 p.m., FS1 will broadcast the game live as part of the BIG EAST Opening Night Tipoff. The FS1 broadcast will feature all eight league teams in action, and the Fox Sports app will provide full coverage of the games.

In addition to the first game against Central Connecticut, the brothers’ other home games will be against Stonehill on Saturday, November 9 at 6 p.m. on FS2, Hampton on Tuesday, November 12 at 6:30 p.m. on FS1, Green Bay on Saturday, November 16 at 5 p.m. 00 on FS2, Delaware State on Tuesday, November 19 at 7 p.m. on FS2 and BYU on Tuesday, December 3 at 8:30 p.m. on FS1 in the Big 12/BIG Battle of the East.

The team’s lone away game of the non-conference season will be at the University of Rhode Island on Saturday, December 7 on the CBS Sports Network (time TBD).

In the teams’ first neutral competition of the season, the Brothers will play three matches in Battle 4 Atlantis, which will take place on November 27-29 on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. The Friars will open the tournament against Oklahoma on Wednesday, November 27 at 5 p.m. on ESPN2. On Thanksgiving Day, the Friars will face either Arizona or Davidson at 5 or 7:30 p.m. on ESPN or ESPN2. Providence will conclude the tournament on Friday, November 29, with a match against Louisville, Indiana, West Virginia or Gonzaga (time and television TBA).
