Trump’s Callous Response to Pence Threat Revealed in Bombshell Report

A bombshell was released Wednesday in Donald Trump’s election overturn case, revealing a series of damning allegations about the former president’s behavior on and around January 6, 2021.

Among the most vile accusations contained in the 165-page document was Trump’s alleged reaction to information from an adviser that his vice president, Mike Pence, had been taken to a secure location at the Capitol for security reasons.

Trump’s alleged reaction to the news: “So what?”

An aide told the grand jury that they rushed into the Oval Office dining room to notify Trump – who was watching Fox News’ coverage of the riot – of Pence’s situation. The aide said they ran to Trump in hopes he would “take action to ensure” Pence’s safety, but Trump, as he famously never did, did not.

This chilling allegation is the latest evidence to suggest that Trump didn’t care what the January 6 rioters did to his vice president – who refused to take part in his voter fraud fantasies – if they got to him. Some rioters chanted “hang Mike Pence” as they approached Pence and other lawmakers.

Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung was furious after the document was released Reuterstelling the website, “This entire thing is a partisan, unconstitutional witch hunt that should be completely rejected, along with ALL of the other Democrat hoaxes.” The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to The Daily Beast’s request for comment.

This summer, the Supreme Court stayed Trump’s election sedition trial, and Trump seemed to be able to postpone the headache of uncovering the sordid allegations until long after the November 5 Election Day.

But it wasn’t supposed to be this way. The details of Wednesday’s document, including the message that Trump is promoting lies about voter fraud despite being presented with proof that they are false, likely would have constituted an “October Surprise” in any previous season – although the former president’s polling numbers have remained remarkably stable despite a series of damning revelations over the past year.

Trump responded by directing his anger at Judge Tanya Chutkan, who approved the unsealing of the document just 33 nights before Election Day.

The former president reached out to Truth Social to criticize the unsealing of the document, saying it was intended to hurt him politically after Tuesday’s vice presidential debate.

“The release of this lie-filled, unconstitutional J6 brief immediately after Tim Walz’s disastrous debate performance and 33 days before the most important election in our country’s history is another clear attempt by the Harris-Biden regime to weaken and weaponize American Democracy,” he wrote.
