Kellogg School of Management unveils new, technologically advanced building

Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management has announced plans for a new building on its Evanston campus that will serve as a collaborative, high-tech space.

The building is the centerpiece of the school’s Full Circle Campaign, a $600 million fundraising campaign that aims to strengthen Kellogg’s position as an MBA school and reinvent business education. It will replace the current James L Allen Center building at 2169 Campus Dr., next to the Kellogg Global Hub.

“Kellogg has always been at the forefront of business education, providing students with exceptional experiences while conducting groundbreaking research that shapes business and society,” said Northwestern President and Kellogg Professor of Finance and Real Estate Michael Schill.

“The new building and the Full Circle campaign will take this work to new heights, enhancing Kellogg’s facilities on the Evanston campus and attracting students from around the world.”

Schedule and costs

Evanston residents can expect the project to break ground in winter 2025 and be completed in fall 2027. The building will close after Thanksgiving. Demolition will last from January to April.

Half of the funding for the building has already been secured as part of the “quiet phase” of fundraising. Several donors have made $10 million in gifts, including university trustees Bon French ’75, ’76 MBA; Mike Shannon ’83 MBA and Kimberly Querrey ’22, ’23.

Northwestern Medicine and the Zell Family Foundation have also contributed to strengthening Kellogg’s programs.

Construction project

The building will be designed by Kohn, Pedersen and Fox Associates, a New York architecture firm.
