Lords of the Fallen 2: everything we know so far

Lords of the Fallen 2: everything we know so far

The first big budget game to follow suit Demon Souls AND Dark Souls was a 2014 Deck13 and CI Games title Lords of the Fallen. The game debuted with mostly positive reviews, but for almost 10 years there were no proper sequels. Originally called Lords of the Fallen 2, we finally got it Lords of the Fallen in 2023. While this in itself was a bit confusing, we can now look forward to it Lords of the Fallen 2 (or whatever it’s called), which is technically the third game in the series. This time we won’t have to wait another decade, so let’s manage our stamina and check out everything we know about this next great soul.

Release the window

Hexworks

CI Games announced this in June 2024 Lords of the Fallen 2 was expected to hit a 2026 release window. It was also noted that the game does not yet have an official title, so it may not ultimately be called Lords of the Fallen 2. A few months later, we learned that the game had entered full production, which means that if it manages to reach its target year, its development will be very short compared to other games in its scope. Further details and hopefully footage are expected to be revealed in 2025.

Platforms

With the announcement Lords of the Fallen 2we also learned that it is being developed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles and that it will be the Epic Games store available only on PCs. The reason for not appearing on Steam is Epic’s investment in the project in exchange for exclusivity. However, these offers are usually time-limited, so it’s possible for it to appear on Steam six months to a year after launch.

Trailers

How Lords of the Fallen 2 It’s just entering its full development phase, and no images or trailers for the title have been published yet.

Game

HEXWORKS

According to CI Games’ financial report, Lords of the Fallen 2 will feature many changes from previous games to appeal to a wider audience. It mentions a new art style, narrative, and higher production values. We’ll have to wait and see how they take shape.

As in the previous installment, the game will again feature a single-player or cooperative campaign.

Apart from that, we can only assume that it will retain the soulslike convention to some extent and will probably remain a dark fantasy title.

Pre-order

Assuming 2026 is quite far away Lords of the Fallen 2 will even reach that date, so it will be a while before pre-orders become available. As soon as they appear, we will keep you updated.
