Former WWE Champion Potentially Out After Another Injury: Report

The main event of this past Monday Night Raw was something special as Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed went head to head in a Last Monster Standing match.

There were many exciting moments in the match, including the ring collapsing under the weight of both players.

Ultimately, Strowman defeated Reed. However, this may have come at a price.

According to a report by Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer LiveStrowman left the match against Reed with a potential injury.

“Braun Strowman was hit by Bronson Reed with a Samoan Drop,” Alvarez said. “Braun Strowman grabbed him by the thigh/groin and then they were going to do a scene where he threw Bronson Reed off the apron through some chairs. Damn, this guy starts running and I knew right away he was hurt.”

Alvarez also stated that the injury was “confirmed.” However, there was no information about the type of injury. Based on Strowman’s movement, Alvarez believes he “could have torn his groin.”

Ironically, this match marked the return of Seth “Freakin” Rollins, who had been sidelined for approximately two months due to injury.

Strowman returned to WWE on April 29, 2024, after undergoing neck surgery in 2023.

After training in WWE and competing in dark matches from 2013 to 2015, Strowman officially made his WWE debut as a member of The Wyatt Family with Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Eric Rowan.

Strowman emerged as a singles talent when he was separated from The Wyatt Family due to the 2016 WWE draft. He quickly became one of the company’s most important players, having had memorable matches with Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

The Monster Among Men remained with WWE until his surprising release on June 2, 2021. After spending time on the independent wrestling scene, Strowman returned to WWE on September 5, 2022.
