Lee County School District announces hurricane make-up days

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Thursday evening The Lee County School District announced Hurricane Helene recovery days.

Last week, the district was closed for two days due to a storm.

In a note to parents, district officials wrote:

“To maintain continuity of learning, students are currently required to attend school on the day Monday, October 14, 2024 and Monday, January 6, 2025. These dates were designated as hurricane make-up days in the 2024-25 Instructional Calendar, which was approved by the school board in December 2023.”

The updated calendar was also published on Facebook.
