Ruby and Jodi, parenting advice vloggers, were arrested and charged with child abuse in September 2023. The two were arrested when Ruby’s “emaciated” son, Russell, escaped from Hildebrandt’s Utah home and asked a neighbor for a “favor.” In the video captured by Ring’s camera, the juvenile asked, “Could you take me to the nearest police station?”

As PEOPLE previously reported, police found the boy had visible wounds and tape marks on his wrists and ankles, and later at the home, Jodi found Ruby’s 9-year-old daughter, Eve, in a “similar physical condition resulting from malnutrition.”

In December, Franke pleaded guilty to four counts of child abuse. On February 20, Ruby and Jodi were sentenced to terms ranging from 4 to 60 years in prison after four convictions for severe child abuse.
