MrBeast teases a potential WWE involvement

The world’s most popular YouTuber raised eyebrows this week with his comments regarding a possible WWE appearance.

During an interview with Logan Paul Impulsive podcast (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News) on Thursday, MrBeast was asked about potentially doing something with WWE:

While MrBeast didn’t confirm or deny it, he did hint that it was possible, saying, “I mean spoilers.”

MrBeast’s main YouTube channel has 318 million subscribers, which is the most of any creator on the site. Given his popularity and reach, it wouldn’t be surprising if WWE wanted to work with him.

WWE has long invited celebrities for guest appearances and even matches, as the company is always trying to gain mainstream attention.

Paul is a perfect example of this, as WWE had him perform several times before his first match at WrestleMania 38. It went so well and he was such a natural that he ended up signing with the company as a wrestler.

Since then, he has continued to impress from an in-ring perspective and even had a successful career as United States Champion.

It’s unclear whether MrBeast would be interested in stepping into the ring, but if not, he could play a supporting role for Paul on WWE programming at some point since they are true business partners.

WWE Bad Blood Main Event Rumors, Card

Despite previous speculation, WWE has reportedly settled on an all-star tag team match to headline Saturday’s Bad Blood premium live event.

According to PWInsider.com (h/t Carrier), sources have confirmed that Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes’ match against Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline’s Jacob Fatu will take place last at Bad Blood.

Previously, some people thought that the Hell in a Cell match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre would be the headliner, but instead this match was scheduled to open the PWInsider.com show.

In addition to the main event debates, the decision to skip the Bad Blood World Heavyweight Championship match between Gunther and Sami Zayn was also widely discussed.

Instead of Gunther and Zayn clashing on PLE, their title match will take place next week on Raw, likely in the main event.

According to Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t WrestleTalk) WWE decision-makers decided that Bad Blood didn’t “need” this match, so the decision was made to use it to increase ticket sales and viewership for Raw.

Meltzer noted that this stance is theoretically correct, as WWE had great success selling tickets to Bad Blood without the Gunther vs. match. Zayn.

In addition to the Punk vs. McIntyre match and main tag team match, Bad Blood also features Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley for the World Women’s Championship, Nia Jax vs. Bayley for the WWE Women’s Championship, and a grudge match between Damian Priest and Finn Bálor.

Given the composition of the card, WWE can afford to place the world title match on Raw, where it will likely occupy a more prominent spot on the card and receive more time.

Ospreay and Ricochet respond to criticism of the AEW match

Will Ospreay and Ricochet resumed their rivalry on Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite in a match for Ospreay’s International Championship.

The match initially ended in a draw when Ospreay and Ricochet pinned each other at the same time, but upon resumption, Ospreay ultimately won by disqualification when Konosuke Takeshita interfered.

While the first AEW match between Ospreay and Ricochet was well received by some fans, others expressed their belief that it was too choreographed and did not feel like a real fight.

Both Ospreay and Ricochet expressed their feelings on social media, with Ospreay thanking his fans and critics, while Ricochet vehemently opposed the notion that the fight “wouldn’t be wrestling.”

It’s been 8 years and it still makes you emotional.
I appreciate the love and hate. All criticism must be taken into account to help us grow as performers.

Before they both became huge stars in the United States, Ricochet and Ospreay faced each other in numerous matches in Japan and the United Kingdom.

These matches helped both of them make a name for themselves as their incredible physical prowess made match highlights go viral.

Ricochet parlayed that into a successful run in WWE, while Ospreay became the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion in New Japan Pro-Wrestling before signing with AEW.

When Ricochet left WWE for AEW in August, fans immediately sparked backlash for his rivalry with Ospreay, and AEW wasted little time in making it happen.

Given how their match on Dynamite ended, there are likely more matches between the two in the works, which will almost certainly be met with both praise and criticism.
