BBC Strictly Come Dancing announces new star and says he’s ‘really excited’

Strictly Come Dancing has announced that a new star has joined the team. Dance spin-off show It Takes Two recently returned to BBC2 following the return of the popular competition to mark its 20th anniversary.

The weekday show, co-hosted by Janette Manrara and Fleur East, brings viewers all the behind-the-scenes behind-the-scenes news and gossip from the BBC One dancing competition.

On Friday (October 4), it was confirmed that a new member had joined the band. As exclusively revealed on Strictly: It Takes Two, Niall Gray will take on the exciting role of a roving behind-the-scenes reporter, offering fans a unique and entertaining insight into behind-the-scenes moments on Strictly.

Niall is a national radio host on Capital FM and a social media influencer boasting over half a million followers on TikTok, 24 million likes and over 60,000 followers on Instagram.

Joining studio hosts Janette and Fleur in the It Takes Two family, Niall will head into the training rooms as well as being backstage at Elstree Studios to bring viewers all the gossip about our Strictly couples throughout the series.

It will also discover exclusive reveals and industry tricks from the crew, giving It Takes Two viewers full access to everything Strictly.

Niall said of his new gig: “I’m really excited to be a behind-the-scenes reporter on It Takes Two! A close up of all the action behind the scenes – this is going to be great fun. As a Strictly fan, I can’t wait to bring viewers all the behind-the-scenes gossip!”
