Sean “Diddy” Combs was once one of the most famous hip-hop stars in the world. He has built an empire, but recent allegations threaten it; the rapper has lost hundreds of millions over the past year.

Superstar rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs was on top of the world – at least until his recent arrest threatened to forever change the way the world viewed him. The hip hop icon’s alleged actions first came to light in 2023 when his ex-girlfriend Cassie filed a lawsuit alleging that Diddy had been attacking and abusing her for years.

Fast forward to September 2024, and Diddy was officially arrested on charges of sex trafficking, kidnapping, and bribery, among others. As a result of these findings, the rapper’s fortune has suffered this year; that’s how much he is was value plus what it is worth today.

Diddy’s net worth has reportedly dropped by almost $300 million

As of 2021, Diddy’s net worth was estimated at $900 million – he was well on his way to becoming a billionaire. He previously founded Bad Boy Records, which has produced many successful music artists including Faith Evans, Janelle Monáe and Machine Gun Kelly. He is also the founder of Sean John, a clothing line founded in 1998. In recent years, Diddy has moved into alcohol sales, becoming a partner in Cîroc vodka and DeLeón tequila.

However, his $900 million net worth has reportedly dropped to around $600 million after a few major events: a lawsuit filed by ex-girlfriend Cassie and Diddy’s arrest in September 2024, to name just two. According to Parade, the legal issues have allegedly severely damaged the tycoon’s fortune, which is now estimated at $600 million. It should be noted that the loss is also due in part to the end of Diddy’s relationship with Diageo, the company with which he collaborated on DeLeón tequila, which ended in 2023 following an unrelated lawsuit. Cassie also received a huge settlement after her lawsuit against him.

Additionally, in December 2023, Rolling Stone magazine reported that as many as 18 brands had cut ties with Diddy after allegations of assault and harassment began to come to light.

Diddy maintains his innocence on the current charges

Diddy continues to maintain that he is not guilty of all the recent charges against him. On September 17, the hip-hop star pleaded not guilty, but is currently in custody without bail. Since Diddy’s arrest, more women have come forward with stories of his sexual abuse, and several celebrities have come under fire for previously attending Diddy’s parties.

According to the AP, Diddy’s lawyer called him an “imperfect person” who is “not a criminal.” The trial date has not yet been set.
