Alia Bhatt is gearing up for her next film Jigra starring Vedang Raina. The film will premiere on October 11. Before the release, the makers released a video in which they revealed that the title track of the film will be released soon. It is sung by Vedang Raina. Khushi Kapoor, who is rumored to be dating him, warmly congratulated the actor.

She took to her Instagram stories and shared the video and also dropped heart emojis. Alia Bhatt also wrote, “@vedangraina your voice is just (accompanied by a heart hand emoji).” In reaction to this, Raina mentioned, “You’re too sweet,” before adding a tear emoji and a red heart emoji. The film will clash with Rajkummar Rao’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala

On October 4, 2024, Alia and Vedang posted a video on Instagram that quickly gained attention. The video begins with Alia walking on a rooftop wearing a white T-shirt with a drawing of her siblings on it. He walks up to Vedang, who is wearing a matching black T-shirt. Both the shirts have the words “घर” (home) written in Hindi on them. The two then share a warm hug while singing along to the emotional new song “Tenu Sang Rakhna” from the album Jigra. The caption of their post read, “घर (heart and hand emoji) Who is your jigra? #Jigra in cinemas from October 11. #TenuSangRakhna.”

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has rated Jigra U/A. The film’s production time was also revealed. According to the CBFC website, Jigra has received U/A certification and is operational for 155 minutes. This means that the film is 2 hours and 35 minutes long. The film’s leading lady is Alia Bhatt, who is co-producing this directorial venture by Vasan Bali along with Karan Johar.

The trailer begins with Alia Bhatt’s character receiving a late-night call informing her that her brother Ankur (played by Vedang Raina) has been arrested. Confused and worried, she asks him if he did something wrong and if his blood tests will come back clean. Ankur is then seen in a courtroom in a foreign country, unable to understand the language as he is arrested.

Determined to save her brother, Alia embarks on a mission, desperate to meet him. She asks if harming herself would force the authorities to allow her to visit, but she has been repeatedly denied access. We watch as he travels to the country where he is held captive and begins the fight to free him. The trailer opens with intense action with Alia performing daring stunts, evading guards and taking extreme measures to save her brother who is being tortured in prison. Even though he encounters obstacles at every step, he does not give up.
