Shakira Denies Rebel Wilson’s Claims About Producer Deb

Shakira he denied involvement in Rebel Wilsonis in a legal battle with the producers of her new film Deb.

“I have been friends with Amanda for over 15 years, we have written songs together and we have mutual respect and love for each other,” Shakira said Hollywood reporter in a statement. “We have never had an argument and I am confused and disappointed that someone would accidentally suggest otherwise.”

Ghost, for its part, has not publicly addressed Wilson’s allegations.

Ghost and a pair of her fellow producers initially sued the company Perfect jump star for defamation in July, claiming that Wilson was trying to “bully” them into “admitting to her unreasonable demands by spreading vicious lies without regard to the irreparable damage her reckless words will cause.”

Wilson denied the allegations at the time.

“These damn ‘producers’ are trying to file a defamation case with all sorts of nonsense,” she said on Instagram. “They were called out for bad behavior and now they are filing a defamation lawsuit. Hmmm, I’m pretty sure I have 200 witnesses who can prove what I’m saying is true! Good luck, damn it, the ‘producers’ are trying to prove more than just that I’m a professional who did an amazing job as a first-time director!”

In Wilson’s October motion Deb the director claimed that Ghost, Gregor and Holden had a pattern of intimidation and threats towards her.
