Multiple Premier League clubs have been the subjects of behind-the-scenes documentaries in recent years.

Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal had Amazon Original ‘All or Nothing’ series between 2018 and 2022.

A series based on Jurgen Klopp’s final season at Liverpool is soon to be released, while Burnley – now in the EFL Championship – starred in a Sky documentary called ‘Mission to Burnley’ last year.

According to The Sun, several big players in the streaming industry are now desperate to get Manchester United on board.

Production companies representing Netflix, Amazon and Disney+ have reportedly reached out to United regarding the idea of ​​making a behind-the-scenes documentary about the club’s planned revival under new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

United have apparently not ruled out the idea of ​​making a fly-on-the-wall show, but it is said that it is not currently high on their list of priorities.

Those priorities likely include improving their Premier League position and making progress with the proposed £2billion redevelopment of Old Trafford.

Manager Erik ten Hag watched his side draw 0-0 at Aston Villa on Sunday – a result that means United have now made their worst ever start to a Premier League season, having taken just eight points from seven games so far.

Ten Hag is the bookmakers’ favorite to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post.

Speaking to BBC Match of the Day after the game, Ten Hag said: ‘I think the performance of United was very good. Defending and in possession we controlled the game.

‘It was in the balance. We created chances but not loads. Also Villa didn’t create too many chances. It was balanced. We hit the crossbar, they had a shot blocked.

‘We had that resilience, the whole season. We conceded three against Tottenham (in a 3-0 defeat last weekend) because we were down to 10 and we still went for the win. But for the rest this is our fourth clean sheet.

‘This tells you we are in a good direction. Now also we improve defending counter attacks, and we improve controlling possession. But we also have to improve in the final third.’
