2024-10-07 | Advanced Energy Announces STEM Scholarships for the 2025-2026 Academic Year | NDAQ:AEIS

The Advanced Energy Scholarship provides study support, internship opportunities and mentoring for undergraduate and graduate students

Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: AEIS) – a global leader in highly advanced, precision power conversion, measurement and control solutions – today announced the launch of the 2025-2026 Advanced Energy STEM Fellowship Program.

The scholarship award includes a $20,000 grant to cover tuition. In addition, selected recipients will receive the opportunity to benefit from professional mentoring and internships at one of Advanced Energy’s locations in California, Colorado, Minnesota, Massachusetts and New York. Overall, the program aims to develop emerging talent in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) sector to help shape an innovative, entrepreneurial and future-ready workforce.

To participate in the competition, students must be enrolled at one of the 10 partner universities:

  • Cal Poly San Luis Obispo
  • Colorado State University
  • Massachusetts Institute of Technology
  • Northeastern University
  • San Jose State University
  • Stanford University
  • Rochester Institute of Technology
  • University of Colorado
  • University of Minnesota
  • University at Buffalo

Advanced Energy seeks to support students in areas of interest in power electronics, RF, embedded systems, systems design, thermal management, mechanical or electronic packaging, signal processing, control systems, plasma physics, or materials science/thin film processing.

Scholarship applications for the 2025 – 2026 academic year can be submitted immediately. The deadline is October 25.

“Our ideal candidate will have both a passion for STEM and an aspiration to pursue a career in the industry,” said Randy Heckman, senior vice president and chief technology officer at Advanced Energy. “As part of the scholarship internship, students will have the opportunity to solve difficult and interesting problems while working in interdisciplinary teams.”

This will be the fifth year of the scholarship, in which 13 students have so far received a total of $260,000 in scholarships.
