The upcoming MOBA game Supervive will soon receive a free, one-week demo

Regardless of whether you are a League of Legends purist or have recently fallen in love with the MOBA game Deadlock, Survive is definitely a game worth having on your radar if it isn’t already. Now, after several closed tests, the ambitious new MOBA and Battle Royale mashup is preparing for its next big step – a time-limited, free, open demo that players can try out during Steam Next Fest, which is just around the corner.

With a top-down view, an array of unique characters, and a barrel full of building opportunities and opportunities to synergize with teammates, Supervive is in many ways the quintessential MOBA game. However, instead of two rival teams fighting each other and trying to destroy each other’s base, ten teams of four players compete to be the last player standing on a vast map littered with interestingly named locations, Fortnite style.

So far, only a select few have been able to experience it (including our very own Lauren) through closed alpha and Supervive testing. However, for the first time, it will open its doors to all Steam users for an entire week thanks to a new demo during October’s Steam Next Fest, which is just around the corner. As long as you add the game to your wishlist, you will be able to participate.

In a new video, co-founder and CEO of developer Theorycraft Games, Joe Tung, says the Next Fest demo marks a major milestone for the game – and it looks like the next milestone will come shortly after. “For us, this moment is like the beginning of the push phase for the open beta that is just around the corner,” he says.

Tung, who was previously Executive Vice President of League of Legends at Riot, also highlights some of the improvements made in preparation for the Next Fest demo. Core systems such as movement, shooting, and powers have been fine-tuned, audio has been improved, and many performance improvements have been made. Voice actors have been brought in to help give the characters even more personality, and there have been massive improvements to the graphics, from the character designs to the environments to the portrait graphics in each character’s UI.

If you’d like to try Supervive, its free demo will be available throughout Steam Next Fest, which starts on Monday, October 14 and ends on Monday, October 21. Please note that to gain access you will need to add the game to your wishlist and you can do so here.
