Just in time for Christmas – season six Virgin River The premiere is scheduled for December 19. And this isn’t one of those half-season premieres that Netflix has been doing a lot lately – all 10 episodes of season 6 will be available that day.

That’s a bit ahead of schedule – Netflix unveiled its original 2024 plan in early February and Virgin River, along with tons of other fan favorites like Stranger Things, Ginny and Georgia AND Wednesdaydid not make the list, indicating a return in 2025.

However, nothing is given once and for all – Virgin River is the second series originally scheduled for 2025 to return earlier than expected. The second one is Lincoln’s lawyerwhose third season was broadcast earlier and will debut on October 17.

Meanwhile, the series, which is on Netflix’s 2024 premiere list, is the second season of the breakout hit night agent, no release date yet.

Season 6 Virgin Riverwhich began production in February and ended in June, comes a year after the fifth season, which concluded with a two-episode Christmas special that followed a 10-episode run in September. As Deadline revealed at the time, the series planned to return to 10-episode seasons (without any holiday specials).

Along with the release date, Netflix has released more photos from the first season of season 6 that give a glimpse into the whole thing Virgin River couples – Mel and Jack go to the auction day, Preacher and Kaia as they face his trial, Lizzie and Denny as they expect their first child, Cameron and Muriel as they pick up the pieces of the season 5 finale heartbreaker, Doc & Hope during his medical trial, which showrunner Patrick Sean Smith assured us would end on a positive note, Brie and Mike, who continue to appear together, as do Brady and Lark, despite her dark secret revealed in the season five finale.

There’s no sign of Mel’s newfound biological father, Everett, in the photos, but Smith confirmed in December that he will have a significant presence in Season 6.

Last month, Deadline revealed the first photos of young Everett and Mel’s late mother, Sarah, who will appear in ’70s flashbacks in the upcoming season as part of a potential prequel. You can see the rest of the photos above and below.

According to the official longline of season 6, against the background of Mel and Jack’s romantic spring wedding season, the sixth part promises new plot twists, escalating love triangles, delightful wedding drama, as well as uncovered secrets from Mel’s father’s past that will take us to the magic and mystery of Virgin River in the 1970s
