AMD beats Q3 revenue, but Q4 guidance doesn’t impress

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) stock is reversing course in after-hours trading, giving up today’s gains after reporting third-quarter earnings results. The chip giant had revenue of $6.8 billion (estimates were $6.71 billion), while profit came in line with expectations for adjusted earnings of $0.92 per share.

Yahoo Finance Special Reporter Akiko Fujita joins Market Domination Overtime to look deeper into the earnings print, noting Wall Street’s increasingly elevated expectations for the semiconductor maker. AMD posted fourth-quarter revenue guidance of $7.2 billion to $7.8 billion, while analysts were predicting $7.55 billion.
