NJ casts half a million votes per

The countdown has officially started.

Today is seven days until Election Day, and so far 500,000 residents of the Garden State have voted.

New Jersey has 584,116 registered voters who have already returned their mail-in ballots for the 2024 election, set for Tuesday, Nov. 5. according to SmartTarget.

The Democratic political data and data services firm released its report for NJ Statewide 2024 Early & Absentee Vote to TargetEarly – a dashboard that explores early in-person and absentee voting. The process consists of collecting early voter returns from all US state and county election offices on a daily basis and analyzing the information by political affiliation and how votes were cast.

The report outlined which political party has the most votes per letter to date. And it also provides a breakdown by county in each state.

Of the 584,116 nationwide mail-in ballots returned, 357,339 (61.2%) are Democrats; 120,540 (20.6%) are Republicans; 104,089 (17.8%) are unaffiliated and 2,148 (0.4%) are other.

Below are the numbers asked by county. These numbers are based on early votes for states with 1,000 votes.

Monmouth County mail-in ballots

Of the total postcards that are returned throughout the country, 39,611 are from Monmouth County. Of those, 20,979 (53.0%) went to the Democratic Party, 9,803 (24.7%) went to the Republican Party, and 8,699 (22.0%) are unaffiliated.

Ocean County mail vote

Of the total postal votes returned throughout the country, 40,799 are absent Ocean County. Of the total, 17,555 (43.0%) went to the Democratic Party, 14,909 (36.5%) went to the Republican Party, and 8,171 (20.0%) are unaffiliated.

Voting by mail

Voting by mail is one way to cast your vote. New Jersey has three options. Ballots must be postmarked on Tuesday 5 November at 8 p.m. Submitted ballots can also be handed in in a secure drop-off box no later than 20, Tuesday 5 November or by personal appearance at the election board’s office. in the county or place of residence (six days after the polls close) on or before Monday 11 Nov.
