Derek Jeter has a simple explanation for the Yankees’ Game 3 loss to the Dodgers

Everything is on the line for the Yankees on Tuesday as they prepare for Game 4 of the World Series trailing the Dodgers 3-0. They must find a way to win to stay alive.

Ahead of Tuesday’s must-win game, legendary former Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter said TMZ Sports what went wrong for the Yankees in their 4-2 loss Monday night.

“You want me to break it down for you what happened last night,” Jeter said. “Dodgers Scored More Runs Than Yankees.”

The Yankees did not score until Alex Verdugo’s two-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning. Gleyber Torres struck out immediately after, and the game was over. The Yankees have been outscored 14-7 through the first three games of the series.

Luis Gil will take the mound for New York on Tuesday at Yankees Stadium. Jeter will be back with the Fox broadcast team.
