After the game, Betts didn’t seem interested in discussing the incident and didn’t feel it had any impact on the game.

“When it comes to the first game, it doesn’t matter,” he said. “We lost. It’s irrelevant. I’m fine, he’s fine, everything’s great. We lost the game and that’s what I’m kind of focused on. We’ve got to turn the page and get ready for tomorrow.”

“I’ve never seen anything like it,” Dodgers rookie pitcher Ben Casparius told reporters after the battle for the situation. “It’s pretty interesting. It was obviously very early in the game, so I think it kind of set the tone.”

Despite the loss, the Dodgers still hold a 3-1 advantage in the series. Game 5 will be back at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday, with first pitch scheduled for 8:08 PM ET (Fox). Jack Flaherty is scheduled to face Gerrit Cole in a rematch of the Game 1 starters.
