Boycott Israel at Your Peril, Campaign KCs Tell Writers

A prominent legal organization has warned writers who threaten to boycott Israel’s cultural industries that they are leaving themselves open to legal action for breaching the Equality Act.

UK Lawyers for Israel, whose patrons include former Conservative leader Lord Howard of Lympne KC and leading legal figures Lord Pannick KC and Lord Carlile of Berriew KC, has written to the Publishers Association to warn its members of the “legal consequences that may follow ” if they join or support the boycott.
