Halloween weather should be a seasonal delight

Good weather means good fun. Arriving in the wake of a Wednesday cold front, Halloween on Thursday should be a perfect night for trick-or-treaters across most of the big country.

Sunshine and a high of 76 degrees are expected during the day, according to the National Weather Service office in San Angelo. The evening will be cool. A low of 54 is expected, but winds should be in the 5 mph range.

With these pleasant, seasonal temperatures, kids should be out in force, going door-to-door. Sunset will be at 18.48, so it is recommended to drive slowly for drivers in neighborhoods when twilight falls and the eyes adjust.

Rain is expected to return Friday, however, with a 30 percent chance during the day and a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms Friday night. The chances increase on Saturday, holding at 50 percent, then rising to 70 percent that night.

Those 50 percent chances will last through the weekend, dropping to 40 percent on Monday and then 30 percent on Tuesday.
