NBA star Anthony Edwards rushes back to court over DNA test days after Ayesha Howard’s birth

NBA star Anthony Edwards rushed back to court in his legal battle against Lil Baby‘s ex Ayesha Howard over his newborn daughter, In contact can only report.

According to court documents obtained by In contactAnthony, 23, filed a new motion in the paternity suit he filed in September.

In the motion, Anthony asked the court to order Ayesha and the child to submit to DNA testing by a neutral and approved laboratory.

Anthony’s lawyer filed the petition on October 15, which appears to be the day after Ayesha’s daughter was born. The NBA star’s legal team noted that Ayesha had not yet been served with the paperwork.

On Tuesday, October 22, Ayesha posted a series of photos showing her baby bump and the ultrasound image. She wrote“Golden girls,” and ended her caption with “10/14,” which many believe is the child’s date of birth.

Ayesha’s friends commented: “Ayesha!!!!!!! You did it baby!!!!” Another wrote: “Dear precious baby girl… we’ve been talking you into existence for years.”

The influencer also shared a photo of the newborn with her face covered in a heart emoji. She wrote: “Momma doll baby.”

Last month, Anthony filed for paternity and child support. He said both parties were Georgia residents. He said there was only one child and that it was out of wedlock.

Initially, Anthony’s lawyers asked for genetic testing. “(Anthony) is entitled to an order requiring the parties to undergo genetic testing. If genetic testing proves that (Anthony) is the father, (Anthony) requests an order establishing the paternity of the minor child,” his petition read.

His attorney continued: “(Anthony) knows of no other person or entity, not a party to this action, with physical custody of the minor child or claiming to have custody or visitation rights with respect to the minor child. Further, (Anthony) has never joined as a party or witness or in any other capacity in any other proceeding concerning the custody of or contact with the minor child in this or any other state.”

Anthony’s trial asked for genetic testing to be done and for him to be legally declared the father if the test came back that he was the father.

He also asked that the court set child support based on state guidelines. A hearing is set for November 13.

In 2023, Anthony signed a five-year max contract extension that could result in him making $260 million, according to ESPN.

Ayesha has yet to comment on Anthony’s lawsuit demanding a DNA test.
