Halloween forecast in NJ shows warm weather near 80

People associate Halloween with fresh autumn air and cool temperatures. Not this year. North Jersey has already seen record temperatures in 2024, and now more records could be broken on Halloween.

North Jersey is set to have its warmest Halloween ever.

In Bergen County cities like Teterboro and Bergenfield, temperatures are expected to reach 79 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

The previous record high temperature in Bergenfield on Halloween was 76 degrees in 1999, according to data from Bob Ziff of the North Jersey Weather Observers.

Teterboro’s previous record high temperature on Halloween topped out at 77 degrees in 2019, according to the National Weather Service.

The expected high temperature in Bergen County on Halloween is 18 degrees above normal. In Teterboro, the National Weather Service said the normal temperature on Halloween usually reaches 61 degrees.

Halloween in Bergen County is set to see a low temperature of 63 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. This is the warmest Halloween minimum temperature on record, surpassing the 2019 low of 62 degrees.

You may not need that Halloween jacket this year, but don’t put it away because temperatures will return to their usual cool weather forecast over the weekend. Bergen County will only see a high near 60 degrees on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
